"No pictures today!"
I
contacted Ylanha a while ago to arrange a meeting with
her, but that was harder than I had expected. She is
a very busy girl, but I finally managed to find a room
in her schedule. We decided to meet outside the snack
bar in Old Athen, and there she was. Right on time.
With green blood on her armor and a backpack with new
items. She grabbed a wet towel from her backpack and
rubbed it over her face. "No pictures today!"
she ordered me. She bought herself a chocolate, and
asked me to start the interview.
"After that it all went downhill...."
"It's
been more than one year since you joined The Red Brotherhood.
Do you remember how you got invited, who recruited you
and how your first days in the guild was ?" "One
year already, seems so short! After running around on
rubi-ka looking for a guild for a few days, I contacted
Reshertr and asked if I could join The Red Brotherhood.
But since I didn't meet all the requirements, he pretty
much guided me through the days I needed to fulfill
the them. After the interview part TRB decided to accept
me, and I must say I got a very warm welcome by all
members. After that it all went downhill..... Joking!"
Ylanha laughs while fixing her hair. "No, seriously.
After that I started to get to know each member of the
guild, and they were all very friendly to me. I was
given advice, help, guidance, items and even creds.
So yes, all I can say the first days in TRB was really
great, and I never regreted I joined."
"There's always a TRB member covering your
back"
"According to your history, you have been in The
Red Brotherhood almost since you arrived on rubi-ka.
What do you enjoy most of being a part of The Red Brotherhood
? And in your opinion, what is the most important thing
to put focus on and is there anything you would like
to see more of ?" "The thing i like most about
TRB is without doubt the friendship. You never have
the feeling that you gotta do something on your own.
You just know that every single member enjoys helping
each other and that you're never alone. There's always
a TRB member covering your back. That's really what
makes The Red Brotherhood a brotherhood, and I think
it's important to keep that. Now what i like to see
more of is alien hunting outside our regular schedule.
I think everyone on rubi-ka got a responsibility for
pushing them back to their own planet. I also like our
guild meetings a lot. They always let you know how TRB
is doing and solves alot of problems. They're great."
"There
are quite a few girls around on rubi-ka, but what experiences
do you have being a girl on rubi-ka and in the red brotherhood
? Do you feel someone treat you differently ?"
"Hmm yes, there are alot of girls out there, but
i'm not sure if someone treat me differently really.
Of course they like to make jokes to make us laugh and
fool around, but it's all good. I did have moments where
i simply had to ignore someone, but that is pretty rare."
"Docs are always needed in guilds, raids and teams,
and it's a profession where there is no room for slacking
or taking breaks even when one is needed. How is your
experience with the doc profession?" "I like
being a doc. No you can't have your mind elsewhere and
no I don't like hangovers. But when you are a doc, almost
every team you join is a successful team, and often
have the highest voice. And I like that. It is also
great to be able to do challenging tasks alone, which
also is a great way to earn credits. So for me, docs
are great team players but at the same time they are
also awsome at doing it alone." "Anything
you want to say as a doc to the team members out there?"
She took a breath breath and gave it some thought. "Pullers
don't pull more than two when there's no enforcer in
team, tanks do your job so i can do mine." Then
she finished her chocolate.
"Tornty likes to drink lots of beer"
"What's most important for you, develope yourself
as much as you can by getting awesome items and credits,
or to simply have fun playing with friends ?" "Hmmm
what's most important for me... I think there's always
a mix of both. You always want the best items but in
my opinion that's only ok aslong as you dont start acting
like a brainless credzfarmer. Then you may get more
enemies than friends." "Do you still feel
that you learn something new?" "Yes I still
learn something new everyday. These last weeks I have
been busy learning about fights. I have watched a lot
of them, then tried it myself in the arena. I lost a
lot, but I also made some figthers run away in fear.
And it gives you a great feeling!"
"Any last comments?" "Tornty likes to
drink lots of beer, enter spaceships, kill the first
few mobs, then run into the wrong door and exit again!"
Ylanha laughs and runs off to meet the next challenge.
